Ok, Sometimes we authors have fun with our blogs and sometimes, well, sometimes they’re just a way to communicate with family and friends. :) Today is kind of a little of both! On this amazingly fun dayI have two pictures to share for you. One is a picture of my husband’s favorite toy. :) You’ve heard me talk about it, so now here it is:
And in this is for the rest of you . I can’t go by halloween without offering a tiny bit of a scare, now can I?

Yes, I know. I said THREE books a week, but I just couldn’t do it. I have all these wonderful books available and just have to share them! Marisa has kindly donated one of her ebooks for this week, and I can’t wait to check it out myself! I do love a little Egyptian flair!
So tell me, folks, what do you think of using Egyptian Mythology in Books? Do you think it’s too outlandish for the reader to understand? Too complicated? or are you like me, and ADORE anything Egypt and just inhale it?

When you’re a half incubus, your reputation precedes you…
All eyes are on Gabriel Mac Braire the day he makes his first appearance in the Seelie Court, including those of Aislinn Finvarra. Despite deep bitterness over her last failed relationship, Aislinn cannot help but be curious about the half incubus who is known to possess dark magick, both lethal and sexual in nature. Rumors abound of the women who have become enslaved to his irresistible charms.
So when the Summer Queen of the fae orders Aislinn herself to act as his guide in the court, she is understandably on guard. She’s fallen under the spell of far less persuasive men before. In addition, Gabriel might be more than he seems and his true mission is far from innocent.
This time, Aislinn must protect not only her heart, but her very life…
So Fairies! Or is that FAERIES. Either way you spell it, they are one of the oldest myths in western europe. Some say they are evil little creatures, no bigger than your thumb. Others say they are the size of you and I, and have no emotions at all. Thent here’s even others who say they are divided into two cultures – Evil, and good. Either way you look at it, they are definitely curious creatures.
So what were you taught about fae as a kid? Were they evil little creatures? Were they the same size as your imaginary playmate? Share, and enter to win an autographed copy of Wicked Enchantment by Anya Bast!
Ok, it’s that time again -who wins from week 2??? Let’s take a look.

An expanded and updated version of the novel previously titled, Fur Factor
Graham Winters is a werewolf with a problem. His idiot cousin Curtis wants to take over as Alpha of the Silverback Clan because of an archaic Lupine tradition that says an unmated Lupine can’t lead a pack. So what is Graham supposed to do? Pull a mate out of his hat? Where else will he find the perfect woman for him in time to thwart Curtis’s plans?
As it turns out, the answer is right under his nose.
Six months of unrequited lust for a playboy werewolf have gotten Missy no closer to fulfilling her fantasy of becoming the love of Graham Winters’s life. But when her four best friends decide to dress her up for a blind date the night of Reggie and Misha’s engagement party, everything changes. Suddenly Graham is declaring his undying lust, the members of his pack are calling her Luna, and his cousin and rival are trying to kill her. Clearly, a little adventure can go a long way.
Now the question is whether Missy is willing to risk her heart and her life for a chance at finding out whether werewolves really do mate for life…
Sorry to be so late with today’s book! I forgot to schedule the post! Anyway, Here we have it, another print copy book, available to one lucky person. Don’t forget to also enter for the earlier part of this week’s. Tomorrow, the winners for last week’s books will be announced, so don’t forget to drop by and check us out.
Today’s question: Who’s afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? Have you ever been face to face with a wolf? And if so, what did it make you feel like? Was it no more interesting than being beside a dog? Or did it send shivers up your spine to come eye to eye with the wild canine cousin?
His first priority is to protect his pack…
Werewolf pack leader Leidolf Wildhaven has just taken over a demoralized pack. With rogue wolves on the loose causing havoc and the authorities from the zoo suddenly zeroing in on the local wolf population, the last thing he needs in his territory is a do-gooder female, no matter how beautiful and enticing she is…
She’ll do anything to help wolves…
Biologist Cassie Roux has dedicated her life to protecting wolves in the wild. On a desperate mission to help a she-wolf with newborn pups, the last thing Cassie needs right now is a nosy and entirely too attractive werewolf pack leader trying to track her down…
With rogue wolves and hunters threatening at every turn, Cassie and Leidolf may find their attraction the most dangerous force of all…
Now I’ve done it. I’ve brought in the elusive Terry Spear to our pages. :D What exciting stories she weaves. Now, for the question of the day – Terry writes about the grey wolves and the red wolves as two different “shifter” groups. The kewl thing is that it gives her two totally different types of pack dynamics, as they have very different behaviors. So the question is, do you notice pack dynamics in the books with shapeshifters, or do you just loose yourself in the world without thinking about how they compaer to real wolves?
Once the victim of scientific experimentation by the Government Control of Supernatural Activities (GSA), Damon doesn’t have a past, and he isn’t sure he has a future. He doesn’t even know if his ability to change from human to wolf is a virus, or magick. But the instant he lays eyes on the pretty cop from the local police force, he knows he has to learn the secrets of his past before they destroy her future.
Krystal is the best animal cop on the police force, hiding magickal talent beneath layers of excuses and quick thinking. For five years she’s tracked Peter Burke, a butcher who steals any form of canine to supplement his dietary needs. The day she saves a wolf from losing his head at the sharp end of an axe, her entire life changes. And then there is Damon, the mysterious, sexy ex-soldier with no memory of his past who awakens fantasies of dark and sensual nights.
But the GSA isn’t finished with Damon, and when the shadowy government agency joins forces with Burke, Krystal too finds her life in jeopardy, the target of men and women led by their own desires. Damon and Krystal must work together to stop evil and destroy years of illegal research. But can their budding love survive when experiments distort Damon’s shifting skills, creating a monster?
LONE WOLF by Teresa D’Amario is a magical and fantastical story with plenty of action and suspense. I loved the interwoven plots between magick and wolven characters. There was a bit of everything here, a blend of writer’s magic from D’Amario. ~ Romance Junkies
This one is a little different- because it’s only available here, with me. You can’t buy this book anymore, so you better enter now! Lone Wolf is all about medical experimentation and shifters, with some wizarding magic thrown in. What do you think would happen if our scientists happened upon shifters today? Would we treat them with respect? or would we naturally assume they were threats and immediately contain them all, experimenting upon their bodies to see what makes them tick? Do you like the books that contain such ideas? or are you more the “Leave out the human interference and just give me the shifters?”
We seem to hear this word more and more often every single day. For most, the word PIRATE brings to mind the old seafaring sailors who, more often than not, made their way by capturing other ships and taking their “booty”. Meaning, they took what didn’t belong to them.
Pirates have made a huge come back these days. Many are on the water, just in centuries past, but the oceans of the internet have created several new kinds of pirates. These pirates too take what doesn’t belong to them, only they often share their booty. Illegally. Stealing money from the pockets of those who deserve it. They pretend they are Robin Hood, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. But that’s not what they’re doing. I hate to tell ya, there are very few rich authors out there, and nobody who’s books are on this site qualify as rich. We’re just like you – struggling to make ends meet.
So who are these pirates? Ebook pirates. They peruse the internet, finding ways to end up with ebooks without paying for them. Often, they acquire these books in a very legal way. They are given them by the author, or they win them on a site. But here’s the thing.
Ebooks are NOT allowed to be copied. It’s against the law. YOU COULD GO TO JAIL if caught by the right authorities.
There are reasons it’s against the law. If someone gave me their book and I made 100,000 copies (or allowed 100,000 copies to be downloaded from a website for free), without the author’s permission, that takes at LEAST $100,000 from that author. Dang, I could buy a small country with that amount of money. Seriously, I Don’t know how many copies pirates steal every day, but it’s alot. I know i have probably lost more money than I have made on books.
I love writing. I really do. I love getting emails from folks who’ve read my books and them saying “oh this is AWESOME”. What I Don’t know how to respond to are the emails that say “Oh, I got your book for free over on such and such sight, and it was great.” Do I say “Why thank you, would you like to pay me now?” Or do I swallow my pride and ignore the fact this person has just stolen from me and be gracious? You readers tell me. How do I deal with that?
And while we’re here – this is a note of reminder. All ebooks given away on this site are for your PRIVATE use only. I Can tell you that recently more and more publishers monitor pirates sites and immediately have our books removed. Alot of authors do the same. Google has alot of awesome tools to make that easier. So just don’t do it! The book is yours, it’s true. But that doesn’t mean you can do anything with it. There are consequences. After all, if I have to stop writing so I can work more hours at the “Day job” to support myself, there wont’ BE any books for you to read OR steal.
Sharing with one person is great. Sharing with 100, not so much.
I have some wonderful and loyal readers who come to this sight, and I love every one of you. :) I love your input and I love your ideas, and your comments. So tell me, readers, how should an author respond to such comments “Oh I got your book for free on this sight and it was awesome.” Because I really do not know how to respond.
